Resume Reviewing |
This is an ongoing process to help the brothers fine tune their first impression to perspective companies. A properly formatted and quality resume can make a great statement for a qualified job candidate. Likewise, a poor document can sink any chances of winning the position. Alumni who have valued experience in this area are asked to review resumes from time to time and provide a brother with feedback and suggestions. If you would like to be contacted to review resumes e-mail Matthew Driscoll.. This program is not limited to undergraduates. Any alumni who feel they could benefit from this program should also feel free to submit a resume for review. |

Annual Career Night |
The event is scheduled for April 1stth, at the new WPI Campus Center. As in years past, a board of alumni volunteers will address the undergraduate brothers on the skills needed to land their first job. We are currently seeking alumni brothers that would like to contribute to the program with their real world knowledge in this area. We have many brothers in management positions that can expose the younger members to details and tips that may have otherwise been overlooked. The areas of focus for the night will be:
The main topics of discussion will be followed by a Q&A session led by the undergrads and mock interviews for those that are interested. This years alumni volunteers are James Melvin, Chris Haraldsen, Matt Friend, John Adams, and Netesh Gohil. A special thanks goes out to the alumni for taking the time out of their busy schedules to help the undergrades with such an important task. |

Financial
Investment |
EBA is initiating a program to educate the brotherhood on the importance of financial planning. The program will consist of a brief education on key principles of investment. All to often college students fall in to the trap of high credit card debt and frivolous spending without fully understanding the repercussions this could play with their finances. By the time graduation and a steady paycheck role around, many bad habits have already been started. The hope of this program is to start all brothers off on the right with the knowledge and background they need to make financially sound decisions. |
