What: Alumni Family Picnic 2001!
When: Noon, Saturday, June 30, 2001
Where: "The Cove", in Newton, MA

It's time for the second annual Alumni Family Picnic. On Saturday, June 2nd starting around 12 noon, all alumni, actives and their families (significant others as well) are invited to "The Cove" in Newton. Unlike other EBA events, the Picnic offers the opportunity for the whole family to come out and join in on the fun.

The Cove (nickname for Edgewater Park) is located in Newton, just west of Boston. It offers an abundance of resources to take advantage of. We will have picnic tables, 6 grills, a softball field, basketball courts, tennis courts and plenty of space for Bocce, frisbee, croquet and other lawn games. And for the kids (and kids at heart), there is a nice, full playground with slides, swings and more. Kayaking fans, don't forget to bring your gear!

Here are a few photos from last year...

For food, the EBA will provide clams, steaks, burgers and dogs. For beverages, beer, soda, and a variety of juices will also be provided. Everyone is encouraged to bring a fine selection from their kitchen to share with the attendees.

Please leave a message on this site to let us know...

  • How many people you are bringing
  • What kind of food you are bringing
  • What games, if any, you are bringing

This will help us with our shopping list. If you have any questions, just send me email. Hope to see everyone on Saturday and lets hope for some good weather!

Food: Some tasty Chili
Games: Bocce, Horseshoes, Tennis raquets, Croquet, Frisbee....

I am the Bocce Champion, until someone defeats me. I'm looking
forward to getting Doug Wood '83 on the tennis court, if he's not busy
grilling my steak and fetching my Fosters.

See you all there!
