Old Business

 

    1. Material Purchased, 800 sq yds, $1800 with check from Jim Melvin.
    2. Two bids aquired – $15 without cutting, and $35.

Action Items:

    1. Need to reimburse Jim Melvin for material purchase, $1800.
    2. Need attire samples again for pattern matching.
    3. Need additional sewing contractor bids.
    4. Need to contract project to be completed asap, and before next init.

The next "overflow" initiation will be in 3-4 weeks.

 

 

    1. Jim Melvin to meet with Dan Merrikin and KJ Narva on Tuesday March 16th to review and solidify the plans. A proposed date will also be decided upon.
    2. Brothers are willing to supply directed manpower.

Action Items:

    1. Present solid plan at the next EBA meeting.
    2. Do not include irrigation in the first round of the project. We can add this later if we feel we need it to keep the lawn looking nice.

 

 

    1. Call plumber to get an estimate on new shower fixtures.
    2. Contract plumber to install all new hardware.

    1. Start putting together a project proposal for prospective bidders.
    2. Review such proposal with the EBA.

    1. Continue to research roofing solutions for our type roof.
    2. Educate the EBA Board on solutions.

Jeff Kellner’s loan was approved and he is paying off his current debt. Just wrote a check for $4500. Great News!

Sean Houlihan and Dave Scott (or Haig Altoonian): Please keep accurate records of who pays and how much. Update Chris Haraldsen bi-weekly. Chris Haraldsen sends letters home once a month and doesn’t want to over or under bill anyone.

    1. Get descriptions of all house details from current owner.
    2. Collect all descriptions in a single electronic document and bring to the next EBA meeting.
    3. Get review comments back from all parties before the annual meeting on 4/10/99.

Next inspection will be Tuesday April 6. This is to make sure the house looks good for EBA weekend. This should actually be done on Wednesday since warm dorms are on Tuesday.

    2. Get Rush Rules from Sal Beatini.

    1. Put together an issues list for our next meeting in 3 weeks.
    2. Find out the potential numbers for summer livins.
    3. Propose finances and house maintenance program.

Sal, please have a list of who is living in this summer by EBA Weekend.

Need to come up with a plan for Finances, Security and Maintenance during summer.

 

    1. We currently have two positions open. (Scholarship, Career Development)
    2. If any current EBA directors step down, we will have additional positions open.
    3. Recent graduates are eligible to serve on the EBA.
    4. Please make an announcement at the next House Meeting.

    1. Appoint an alternate scribe in the EBA Secretary’s absence.
    2. Post meeting minutes on the alumni website.

Minutes need to be posted on the web site and over email.

If Chooch is unable to make the meeting, the house Secretary will take the minutes.

Additional New Business:

    1. Floors: The tiles are coming up in the Salisbury Street Entrance.
    2. Pledge Project: Put shelves in HMC, redid the Salisbury Street outside stairs.
    3. Refrigerator Pump in Walk-In Broke. EBA to Pay for repairs.
    4. Landscaping: A formal plan of attack needs to be put together for next meeting (March 23rd)
    5. At the 3/23 meeting the EBA will discuss and vote on the plan and a date will be set for the landscaping project. This needs to be done before the end of D-Term.

    6. National Convention: List of attendees must be finalized by next meeting.
    7. EBA to pay registration fees up to a maximum of $??? (What is the Max?)

      Is anyone interested in being the alumni rep?

    8. Fundraiser: Discussed fund raiser to raise money for roof and shower repair.
