Old Business

 

    1. Status of additional bids. Bids should be ready by the EBA Golf Tournament
    2. Contract Schedule.

 

    1. Cement work. Next week. There is an estimate of $1500
    2. Lawn rolling and reseeding. Immediately following cement. We will do the seeding
    3. Fence. There will be new fences.
    4. Yard tools inventory.

 

    1. Start putting together a project proposal for complete shower replacement.
    2. Review such proposal with the EBA for implementation next year.

Derek was not at the meeting.

 

    1. Continue to research roofing solutions for our type roof. No progress yet. The goal is for the new roof to not leak for 10 years.
    2. Educate the EBA Board on solutions.
    3. Recommend a solution.

Action Items:

    1. Start putting together a project proposal for prospective bidders.
    2. Review such proposal with the EBA.

  

    1. Current status. $7,598.30 of outstanding debt has been collected since 9/1/98. The outstanding debt is $19.099.70.
    2. Review of older alumni debt records. Eric Jacobson has record of old alumni debt.

Action Item:

    1. The record of old alumni debt should be brought to the next meeting

 

    1. Present initial draft to EBA.
    2. Schedule target date for review comments.

Derek was not at the meeting

 

    1. How many actually went? Four brothers attended
    2. Review. What can we bring home to our chapter? The brothers got great ideas regarding Rush
 
    1. Who is living at the house over the summer? There are about 15 people living in the house this summer.
    2. Details plan? A Details plan is in place with incentives to keep the house clean.
    3. Summer party plans? The summer party is July 31st, immediately following the EBA Open.
    1. Decide on number and amount of awards.
    2. When should we start this new effort. The effort will begin at Homecoming. An article will be put in the next Echo. A mailing will be sent out with the Spring Echo requesting donations. The fundraising will be working towards a specific goal like roof repairs.

 

    1. Plans for improvements.
    2. Status. No action.

 

New Business

 

    1. Received July 16th from City of Worcester
    2. Re-inspection in 14 days, or July 30th.
    3. Summer Party details concern if inspection is after party.
    4. Violations…
      1. Emergency light on second floor common area is not working. Must be made to operate.
      2. Emergency light outside room #303 not working. Must be made to operate.
      3. Emergency lights to basement stairs and lights in basement not working. Must be made to operate.
      4. Emergency lights in laundry room not working. Must be made to operate.
      5. Laundry room filthy with lint, laundry cleaning containers, old clothes, etc. Must be cleaned and maintained in a sanitary manner.
      6. Bedroom off library has exposed wiring at ceiling. Light needs to be installed.

The emergency lights can be fixed by buying new batteries. The laundry room will be cleaned and the bedroom off the library is in the progress of being repaired.

 

    1. Readiness report. The tournament is July 31st at Juniper Hill
    2. Number of teams signed up. There are 18 teams signed up
    3. Finances. We are paid in full.

 

    1. Review of ideas. There has not been any feedback, hence there has been no progress.
    2. Decide on a date.
    3. Decide on a place.

 

    1. Exactly how many brothers are living at OX in A-Term? There are 40 or 41 brothers living in the house for A-Term.
    2. Why are so many brothers choosing to live out of the house? Some brothers have decided to live off campus with other people who are not OX.
    3. Financial concern? Not as of yet.

 

    1. Need Echo Articles NOW.
    2. Deadline for articles is Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at noon.
    3. Homecoming – September 25, 1999

 

    1. Panel repair. They can be fixed.
    2. Paint work.
