Old Business

NOTE:  EBA currently has no one actively filling the project manager role.  We discussed this for a little while and all agreed that this is a serious issue.  Jon Swanson has not been to a meeting in  a year, and Jeremy John has moved away from the area

    1. We have a pattern of a good root at Sun Microsystems.
    2. We need to find the contractor that did this work.
    3. Jim will take pictures.
    Status:  We have two estimates.  I believe one was for $15,000 and the other for $13,000.  The one for $15,000 sounds like a more complete job.  We will wait to see what Jim Melvin comes back with (as far as the contractor for Sun Microsystems).
     
    1. Status on wallboard project for second floor drying area.
    Status:  Plumbing has been fixed.  The brothers will patch things up for now to get through the next school year.  Next summer, EBA will redo the showers on both the second and third floor.
     
    1. This project can be done NOW.
    Status:  Derrick and Taylor are looking into this.   It was also mentioned that the entire house needs to be stained in order to prevent any further damage.  We will discuss this further on EBA Weekend.
 
    1. Priority is very high.
    2. Need a dedicated project leader for a long term kitchen plan.
    Status:  Temporary repairs need to be made soon.  The entire Kitchen is scheduled to be redone in a couple years.  Will discuss more on EBA Weekend.
     
    1. Fence Treating and Painting as soon as it gets warm out.
    2. Can the brothers do this before they leave for the summer?
    Status:  For some reason I didn't write anything down for this one???
 
    1. Part of the EBA Operations manual.
    2. Rough draft review at next meeting.
    3. Final copy due at EBA Weekend meeting.
    1. When will we be red?
    2. Contract Schedule.
    Status: Some actives are looking into whether any family members are willing to help us out on this one.  I will attempt to pick up the material from Maddog.  THIS WILL BE COMPLETED FOR NEXT YEAR!
    1. Current status.
    2. It’s time to persue alternate means for anyone that has not yet responded.
    1. Who is going to be responsible for shipping alumni their stuff? (Public Relations?)
    2. Samples of rewards.
    Status: Renamed the Epsilon Capital Improvement Fund.

    2. Site requirements? Grills, tables, horseshoes, bocce, frisbee, softball?
    1. Safety deposit box rental for storage. EBA Weekend. Don’t forget.

New Business

 
    1. Echo Article requesting information.
    2. For future Echo presentation.
 
    1. Need to complete form.
    1. Schedule a time when ALL directors can be at a house Meeting.
    2. Introduction and position responsibility, etc.
    Status:  We set up the house meeting on April 12th for the EBA to meet all the new brothers.  The house meeting is at 8:00pm.

    2. Preparation? (Fence painting, cleaning, softball, Boston Billiards, etc.)
    Status:  Everything is all set for EBA Weekend on April 15th.
    11:00 - EBA Meeting
    1:00 - Softball (Actives vs Alumni)
    3:00 - Boston Billiards
    7:00 - Open Bar up stairs in the Warm Dorm area.  No party.
    1. We need to start recruiting to fill the void(s).
    2. Jeremy can still contribute remotely to a limited degree.

    3. 5/14 organizations are on some form of probation.
    4. New brothers and everyone else needs to know the costs for actions, etc.
