There has been some talk on the OX mailing list about getting
together a paintball game. Friendly
Fire in Upton is minutes
away from WPI. They provide
all the equipment you need, and if you bring a group of over 20 players you
can get your own private field.
I am trying to judge interest in putting together an event. Tentative
date is TBD, depending on interest. Cost looks to be around $70, depending
on ammo consumption.
Feedback:
I'm looking to get some comments from interested brothers. Based
on your input we'll either take the idea further or shelve it for another
time. We're looking for answers to these questions, but feel free to add
additional comments too:
- Are
you interested?
- Should this be EBA only, or should we include the actives and
improve our relations with the house?
- If we include the actives, should we pick up some of the tab?
- Should we help them incorporate this as a rush event?
- How should we split up the teams? Should we break up by: Age
(actives vs alumni), Major (kill the Civils), or Class ('83 will kick your
ass!)? Should we allow Team Dinga to challenge all comers?
- What format game(s) should we play? Capture the flag, deathmatch,
others?
- Can you help to organize this?

Paintball is a great idea. Bring it on. Civils can take you all on.
We used to go to Canobie Paintball as a house in Windham, NH
(near Canobie lake park - go figure). It is a great place. If your interested,
